One of our local grocery stores had a "double any manufacturer's coupon valued up to $1 deal" running all week. You had to have the store's coupon and were only allowed 5 coupons per person, per day.
Today I managed to snag 4) 4lb. bags of Domino sugar on sale for $2.49 each, I had 2 coupons for $1.00 off 2 bags. They also had Hot Pockets on sale for $2.00 a package, I had 2 coupons for $1.00 off 3 packages. Nestle Chocolate Morsels were on sale for $1.99 a bag, I had 1 coupon for $.50 off 2 bags. Plus I had a store coupon for $3.00 off any frozen foods purchase. My grand total was $13.76, I saved $22.20 between manufacturer's coupons, store coupons and preferred card savings!!!
Just in case you haven't heard sugar is supposed to be going up significantly in price as well as flour and corn based products. Peanut butter is supposed to go up by as much as 35% by November. Now is the time to start buying some of your holiday baking supplies before the price increases take effect.
